Admissions Process
We understand that seeking help for your child is a complex and challenging decision. As a parent or loved one of a struggling teen, you want to ensure that the program you choose is the right fit for your family’s unique needs. At Red Mountain Colorado, we believe that a collaborative approach is crucial to success, which is why we require that both the student and their family be committed to treatment and ongoing support in order to foster healthy growth and independence. This shared commitment helps create a strong foundation for the student’s long-term success. Below is a guideline for the admissions process.
Navigating Insurance
Insurance funding may be available depending on your family’s policy/provider and your child’s medical necessity. As a licensed private-pay facility we work Bridgeway Billing, a third-party advocate, to help families navigate available insurance.
Bridgeway Billing helps families interface with their insurance company by:
- Checking benefits
- Seeking authorization
- Billing applicable treatment costs
Our admissions team can help talk you through how Bridgeway may be able to help your family.
Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification and support. We will stay with you from start to finish.
To begin the process, we encourage families to reach out to our Admissions Team and discuss their situation with us. We will collaborate with you to evaluate if our program is a suitable fit for your needs. We will then provide you with an online application.
Important things to consider when applying:
– We require all students to complete at least a 30-day primary treatment program, such as wilderness therapy or residential treatment.
– We ask that potential students abstain from substance use.
– We ask that you share any previous psychological evaluations or testing within the last 2 years.
Once an application is submitted, we will do a comprehensive review with our specialists to ensure that the student is appropriate for admission. If timing allows and family is able, schedule an in-person tour of our program. We also are happy to do virtual tours.
We will also call the prospective student to answer any questions they may have about our program, as well as a final evaluation for admission approval.
Once Red Mountain Colorado confirms that the student is approved for admission and the family and student accept the admission, logistics and final paperwork will commence, and the enrollment date will be confirmed. We will send intake forms electronically and request all necessary information, including medical records, therapist referral, immunization record, and school paperwork. All enrollment documents must be completed and returned before student enrollment.
Our team is excited to meet you and share how we can support your family and your teen in the next stage of their journey. We are happy to discuss every step with you in detail and address any questions or concerns you may have.
