Paul Gyodo Agostinelli
Paul brings his vast experience as a practitioner and teacher of mindfulness, as well as his many years applying mindfulness principles in a wide array of organizations, to his work at Red Mountain. A longtime friend and colleague of our Executive Director, Paul enjoys collaborating with and teaching the Red Mountain leadership team and staff, as well as teaching our students in both group and individual settings.
Paul is the Founder of Eon Zen Center in Boulder, Colorado, and is a Sensei (authorized teacher) in the White Plum Zen tradition. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Dartmouth College, and a Master’s in English from the University of Chicago, where his graduate work was supported by a Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities.
Paul has had a long career as a tech entrepreneur, co-founding and running multiple companies. He is also founder of Zen@Work, a company which specializes in helping businesses and executives apply mindfulness principles to their organizations. He serves on the adjunct faculty at Naropa University, and serves on the faculty of Willow Farm Contemplative Center, where he is also a board member.
In his free time, Paul enjoys playing soccer, hiking, reading, watching people guess if his twin brother is really him, and spending time with his family, which includes his partner Aria and her five kids (ages 9 through 25).
