Nebraska Families Finding Help For Troubled Teens

Nebraska Troubled Teens Find Help at Red Mountain Colorado

Realizing that your Nebraska son is struggling with risky behaviors is a difficult thing to come to terms with. And the last thing you want is for your son to be treated like a “troubled teen”. But by knowing the truth of the situation, you’ll be better equipped to get the right help for your Nebraska teenager.

Your teenager probably needs more support than you can give at home. Your son needs the chance to really look at both his behaviors and what is underlying them, while also developing new ways of being. An optimal way to do this is by having him attend a residential treatment center. With this type of treatment, he will get therapy, academics, supportive peers, and the skills needed to maintain long-term success.

Nebraska Teens Engage and Grow with Adventure Therapy

To truly heal, troubled teens from Nebraska need to be engaged in both therapy and their overall therapeutic journey. Although talk therapy is an important part of any therapeutic process, at a teen-specific treatment program there is room for more experiential therapeutic modalities like Adventure Therapy.

Adventure Therapy is an activity-based and hands-on approach that Red Mountain Colorado uses to engage with adolescent boys troubled with mental health challenges. Each week, students will get outside and active with experiences like white-water rafting, skiing, and rock climbing.

Red Mountain Colorado’s adventure activities are intentionally challenging, fun, and offer a host of benefits. Teens develop communication skills, distress tolerance, and self-esteem. They understand how they can transfer problem-solving skills to future situations.

In addition to these transferable skills, Adventure Therapy exposes Nebraska teens to new hobbies and leisure activities. For most of our students, engaging in negative behaviors have usually become the only way they know to have fun. Adventure Therapy allows students to experience fun and exciting activities.

Our location outside of Denver, CO means that we have access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. And though Red Mountain Colorado is located away from Nebraska, we help teens from across the country, including Nebraska.

At Red Mountain Colorado, a residential treatment center for troubled Nebraska boys, your son can find the help and support he needs to achieve lasting healing. Using Adventure Therapy, your son will be able to move past the core beliefs that are limiting his potential and help him believe in his ability to succeed and thrive.
