Massachusetts Teens Find Healing at Holistic Residential Treatment Centers

Finding out that your teenager is engaging in risky behaviors can be scary for any parent. Fortunately, there are resources available to help your child from Massachusetts move through this difficult period in a healthy way. One of the best residential treatment centers for teenage boys that have trauma-related issues is Red Mountain Colorado. Located just outside of Denver, Colorado, our premiere residential treatment center serves boys from all over the country, including Massachusetts.

Red Mountain Colorado serves adolescent boys ages 14-17 that are struggling with mental health issues and want to make a change. And while it is critical that we treat negative thoughts and behaviors, it is equally important that we help them heal the wounds that led them to negative coping behaviors in the first place.

For some of our students, there is anxiety, depression, or trauma to heal from. No matter what is going on, Red Mountain Colorado is ready to help.

Adolescence is an important time period for development and growth. With our holistic approach, we consider all the different needs of our student population: therapeutic, social, familial, physical, academic, and spiritual. By looking at all of these different parts, we foster holistic healing which leads to lasting change.

By giving attention to all these needs and not simply the problematic behaviors, we foster whole-person growth and healing which creates long-lasting changes. With our integrated family programming, we work to connect the family in healthy and safe ways, creating lasting bonds.

Effective Therapeutic Approaches at Our Teen Residential Treatment Center

To make a therapeutic experience truly effective, we need to understand where each student is at and create a program that is engaging and constructive. That’s why Red Mountain Colorado’s residential treatment center uses a number of different experiential modalities. Our many years of experience have shown us that hands-on and experiential approaches are typically the most constructive approaches when working with teenagers. These are some of the experience-based approaches that your Massachusetts son will participate in:

  • Process Group
  • Equine Therapy
  • Family Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Individual Therapy

Your child from Massachusetts will be actively engaged in 42 hours of experiential, clinician-led interventions. By utilizing a variety of approaches, we increase the likelihood that your son will find an approach that he truly connects with. Using these different therapeutic modalities also allows us to help your son along all the different points of his therapeutic journey. Whatever he is struggling with, our expert team at Red Mountain Colorado will develop an individualized treatment plan that will help him succeed.

Red Mountain Colorado is located just north of Denver. And though our residential treatment center isn’t in Massachusetts, we have worked with students from around the country, including Massachusetts.
