Residential Treatment Centers Helping Missouri Teenagers

Missouri Teens Find Healing at Holistic Residential Treatment Centers

Finding out that your teenager is engaging in risky behaviors can be scary for any parent. Hopefully, it is comforting to know that there are resources for your Missouri teen that will help navigate this difficult time. One of the top residential treatment centers for teens with trauma is Red Mountain Colorado. Located north of Denver, our leading residential treatment center works with teenage boys from across the United States, including Missouri.

At Red Mountain Colorado, we work with teenage boys ages 14-17 that are struggling with depression, anxiety, defiance and other challenges.. And while it is critical that we treat negative thoughts and behaviors, it is equally important that we help them heal the wounds that led them to negative coping behaviors in the first place.

Many of our students have underlying and unresolved trauma, depression or anxiety that need to be addressed. Regardless of what they are struggling with, Red Mountain Colorado is here to provide support.

In terms of development, the teenage years are an important period of growth. With our holistic approach, we consider all the different needs of our student population: therapeutic, social, familial, physical, academic, and spiritual. When we take into account all of these different parts, we are able to facilitate comprehensive healing and growth.

At our residential treatment center, we also make sure to focus on healing the relationships within the family, which are the most important relationships your child has. Our family programming is designed to reconnect the family system in safe, healthy, and functional ways.

Effective Therapeutic Approaches at Our Teen Residential Treatment Center

Meeting each student where they are at in their own process ensures that we are making therapy both effective and engaging. That’s why Red Mountain Colorado’s residential treatment center uses a number of different experiential modalities. We know from our years of experience that experiential and hands-on approaches are some of the most effective in working with teens. These are some of the experience-based approaches that your Missouri son will participate in:

  • Process Group
  • Equine Therapy
  • Family Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Individual Therapy

Each week, your son from Missouri will be actively involved in 42 hours of clinician-led therapies. With this variety of approaches, we are able to find the modalities that will best meet the needs of your son. These different modalities allow our team to support your son in different ways throughout his growth and therapeutic journey. No matter what he struggles with, the skilled team at Red Mountain Colorado can help individualize a treatment plan appropriate for him.
